Abstract
- The article describes a lesson in an 8th-grade class where the teacher uses cooperative learning to engage students in solving a math problem. Topics include the use of cooperative methods like "Denken-Austauschen-Vorstellen" (Think-Pair-Share) to encourage student participation, the challenge of engaging all students in class discussions, and the barriers to oral participation, such as uncertainty and lack of motivation, which often leave only the more confident students answering.
