Abstract

Researchers from the International Agency for Research on Cancer in Lyon, France, are conducting a pilot study called PRAISE-U to evaluate a risk-stratified population-based approach to prostate cancer screening in five European Union pilot sites. The study aims to assess feasibility, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness by inviting men aged 50-69 to participate in PSA testing and MRI scanning. The findings are expected to inform the development of an optimized screening strategy with an acceptable benefit to harm ratio.
