Abstract
- Researchers at the Japanese Red Cross Musashino Hospital in Tokyo have published a case report on the use of drug-coated balloons after intravascular lithotripsy for treating severely calcified de novo coronary artery lesions. The study suggests that this approach may be a potential revascularization strategy for patients with heavily calcified lesions. The research highlights the importance of intravascular lithotripsy in modifying calcified lesions prior to drug-eluting stent implantation.
