Abstract
- A study conducted at the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil utilized dry blood spots as a sampling strategy to identify markers of insulin resistance during a dietary challenge. The research involved 54 volunteers who consumed a high-fat, high-sugar meal and underwent blood sampling to track their postprandial responses. The study found higher concentrations of metabolites associated with insulin resistance in individuals with high glucose area under the curve, demonstrating the potential of dry blood spots as a non-invasive tool for identifying dysglycemia markers.
