Abstract
- A study conducted at Henan Agricultural University in Zhengzhou, China, explored the antibacterial properties of resveratrol against Salmonella typhimurium. The research found that resveratrol exhibited bacteriostatic effects by damaging the cell wall and membrane of the bacteria. Metabolomics analysis revealed significant changes in the metabolic pathways of S. typhimurium after treatment with resveratrol, suggesting its potential use as a natural antibacterial agent for food safety concerns. The study was published in Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology and has undergone peer review. [Extracted from the article]
