Abstract
- A study conducted in the Netherlands focused on improving morphosyntactic skills in preschoolers with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) through a novel group-based intervention. The intervention targeted expressive morphosyntactic skills and showed evidence of growth in morphological skills, although the direct impact of the intervention was inconclusive. Practitioners found the intervention to be usable and feasible, suggesting potential benefits for treating morphosyntactic problems in children with DLD. The study highlights the importance of monitoring morphosyntactic development using language sample analyses, which may be more sensitive to detecting changes than standardized tests.
