Abstract

Days before Ireland's general election, Prime Minister Simon Harris of Fine Gael has seen a decline in support, with his party slipping slightly behind both its coalition partner and the main opposition party. Fine Gael's share has fallen to 19%, while Fianna Fail and Sinn Fein are at 21% and 20% respectively, all within a close margin. The drop in support adds tension to the final days of the campaign, with Harris facing pressure as his personal approval rating also decreases. Sinn Fein, once leading in polls, has seen a decline in support as well. [Extracted from the article]
