Abstract

The article discusses a case of delayed detection of coarctation of the aorta causing resistant hypertension in an elderly male. Despite the absence of typical signs, renal Doppler showing bilateral parvus et tardus flow pattern led to the diagnosis. The patient underwent surgical repair, resulting in improved blood pressure control and a successful outcome. The case highlights the importance of considering coarctation of the aorta as a differential diagnosis in cases of resistant hypertension, even in the absence of typical clinical signs.
