Abstract
- This study aimed to develop science curriculum standards in Saudi Arabia considering Australia's experience. This was achieved by identifying the similarities and differences between the general education curriculum standards in Saudi Arabia and Australia and determining the features of incorporating green education principles into science courses in both countries. To achieve the study's objectives, the descriptive method of content analysis was adopted. Based on the study results, which indicated differences between Saudi Arabia's standards and Australia's standards, the researchers prepared proposed standards for constructing science courses in Saudi Arabia considering Australia's experience. The current study yielded several recommendations, including conducting a comprehensive review of the standards of all general education curricula in Saudi Arabia and Australia to identify the strengths and weaknesses of both systems.
