Abstract

Researchers from BioSensics LLC conducted a study on Friedreich Ataxia (FRDA) to assess disease severity and monitor motor dysfunction using wearable sensors. The study involved 39 FRDA patients who were remotely monitored for 7 days, showing significant correlations between sensor-derived metrics and clinical/biological outcomes. Machine learning models incorporating sensor data improved the prediction of disease severity in FRDA. The research highlights the potential of wearable sensors in assessing FRDA and monitoring motor dysfunction. [Extracted from the article]
