Abstract

A systematic review conducted by University Hospital in Amiens, France, examined the association between an increased posterior tibial slope (PTS) and knee injuries in children. The review included 11 studies with a total of 1173 patients, focusing on ACL rupture, growth diseases, and proximal tibial fractures. The findings suggest a potential link between an excessively high PTS value and knee pathologies in children, particularly ACL rupture, indicating the need for longer-term follow-up for children with high PTS and ACL rupture. This research was published in Orthopaedics & Traumatology Surgery & Research and has been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
