Abstract

Researchers from the University of Bejaia in Algeria conducted a study on the optimization of ultrasound-assisted extraction of phenolic compounds from Crataegus laciniata leaves. The study aimed to assess the antioxidant potential and enzyme inhibition properties of the extracted compounds. Results showed that the extract exhibited strong antioxidant activity and inhibitory potential against key enzymes, indicating its potential for pharmacological and food industry applications. The study was supported by the Scientific and Technical Research Center for Physical-Chemical Analyses (CRAPC) in Ouargla, Algeria, and the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
