Abstract
- The article explores the association between disability status and voting behavior in older adults in the United States, focusing on the 2020 election. It highlights the challenges faced by persons with disabilities in exercising their right to vote and the persistent voting gap between those with and without disabilities. The study found that individuals with disabilities were less likely to have voted, with a stronger association in women than in men. The findings suggest the need for targeted strategies to enhance voting rates among older adults with disabilities and emphasize the importance of examining factors influencing voting behavior.
