Use of vedolizumab in children with steroid-refractory gastro-intestinal graft-versus-host disease.

The article presents case studies of three pediatric patients with steroid-refractory gastrointestinal graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) who were treated with vedolizumab. It discusses the retrospective analysis of these patients who underwent allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation and later developed severe gastrointestinal GVHD. It is reported that Vedolizumab, an anti-α4β7 integrin antibody, was administered off-label as a treatment after the failure of first-line therapies.
