Calculate the range of alpha particles in some pure semiconductor (Si, Ge) theoretically.

Abstract
- In the present study, the range of alpha particles in pure semiconductors have been studied to know the effect of radiation for device made from semiconductors (silicon and germanium) that used in the environmental application. The range of alpha particles was calculated by using SRIM2013 program and Astar program. The results have been observed the direct relationship between the range of alpha particles and the energy of incident particles. The range of alpha particles in both germanium and silicon in present work has shown the agreement with the results of SRIM2013 program and Astar program. The relation between the range of alpha particle and its energy is clear in all the results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
