Abstract

A recent study conducted at Hamadan University of Medical Sciences in Iran focused on the sensitivity and specificity of electrodiagnostic parameters in diagnosing carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). The study included 57 cases with CTS and 58 controls without symptoms, assessing parameters such as terminal latency index (TLI) and residual latency (RL). The findings suggested that electrodiagnostic parameters are closely linked to the clinical presentation of CTS and can be highly accurate in diagnosing the condition, although further research is needed to explore their full potential. For more information, the study can be accessed in Bone & Joint Open, with contact information available for the researchers involved. [Extracted from the article]
