Abstract

A recent study from Xiamen University examined the impact of intraoperative radiotherapy (IORT) on retroperitoneal liposarcoma patients. The research, based on a population-based propensity score-matched study, found that there was no significant difference in overall survival between patients who received IORT and those who did not. The study suggests that IORT may not provide additional benefits for patients with retroperitoneal liposarcoma, highlighting the need for further prospective clinical studies in this area.
