Abstract

Researchers from the University of Toronto conducted a study on the efficacy and safety of insulin glargine 300 U/mL in insulin-naive individuals with type 2 diabetes, with or without prior use of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist therapy. The study, which included 3562 participants, found that treatment with insulin glargine 300 U/mL improved glycemic outcomes without significant weight changes or increased risk of hypoglycemia. The research was supported by Sanofi and concluded that insulin glargine 300 U/mL could be a beneficial treatment option for patients with type 2 diabetes. [Extracted from the article]
