Abstract

Researchers at the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research have conducted a study on the oncogenic role of RAS gene mutations in various cancer types. Using genome-wide CRISPR screening data, they found evidence supporting the significant oncogenic impact of RAS mutations and their tissue-specific permissiveness. This study sheds light on the primary oncogenic drivers of RAS mutations beyond traditionally recognized cancer types, offering valuable insights into their role in cancer development. The findings are published in Scientific Reports and can be accessed for further information. [Extracted from the article]
