Abstract
- A recent study from the University of Texas Austin examined the accessibility and acceptability of two no-test, direct-to-patient telemedicine abortion regimens in the USA: mifepristone and misoprostol, and misoprostol-only. The research found that respondents generally found both telemedicine abortion regimens to be acceptable, technologically accommodating, and convenient. The study highlighted the potential implications for expanding insurance coverage and reimbursement for telemedicine abortion, including misoprostol-only regimens, and emphasized the importance of policies that enhance access to telemedicine abortion through nationwide internet connectivity.
