Abstract
- Uniper SE has begun repaying the German government for a bailout received during the energy crisis, setting aside €3 billion in provisions and already paying €530 million in damages to the state. The remaining provisions, valued at €2.5 billion, will be transferred to the state in early 2025. Berlin, which now owns over 99% of Uniper, plans to re-privatize the company by 2028, with a share sale being the preferred option. Uniper's earnings are stable, with a positive outlook for 2024, showing a recovery since the energy crisis. [Extracted from the article]
