Abstract

The article states that sellers of cash value life insurance have made comparison-shopping difficult, but there are ways to improve the odds. A cash value policy, like whole life, incorporates investment along with pure death protection. Pure death protection, also known as term insurance, is not inherently complicated and the same can be said about fixed-income investment. Cash value policies are those with premiums considerably beyond what the insurance company needs to pay death claims.
