Abstract
- In modern society, due to the influence of the 4th Industrial Revolution, image processing technology is used in various fields such as automated processes, smart farms, and intelligent CCTV. If noise occurs in the image used in such systems, unexpected problems may occur, so noise removal is used as a preprocessing process. In this paper, we propose a filtering algorithm based on multi-purge weights to restore images damaged by complex noise. The proposed algorithm performs impulse noise judgment on pixel values in a local mask, switches the filtering process, and sets multiple purge weights according to the reference value. The final output image is obtained by applying the fuzzy weights and noise classification mask to the local mask. To evaluate the proposed algorithm, we performed a simulation in comparison with conventional noise removal technologies and analyzed it using enlarged images and PSNR. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
