Abstract
- A recent meta-analysis conducted at the Faculty of Dental Sciences in Uttar Pradesh, India, examined the impact of nocturnal wearing of complete dentures on patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The study, which included three randomized controlled trials with a total of 123 participants, found no significant difference in outcomes such as the Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) between patients who wore removable complete dentures at night and those who did not. The researchers concluded that there is insufficient evidence to support the effectiveness of nocturnal wearing of complete dentures in patients with OSA. [Extracted from the article]
