Abstract
- A study conducted at Universidade Federal do Ceara (UFC) explored the potential link between bleaching body hair with hydrogen peroxide and ammonia-based products and the development of myeloid neoplasms. The research focused on the STING pathway and its association with genetic instability in bone marrow disorders. Findings indicated that exposure to ammonia may trigger genetic instability mechanisms affecting bone marrow functionality, potentially leading to the development of neoplasia. The study highlighted the importance of understanding the impact of hazardous substances on genetic expression and health outcomes. [Extracted from the article]
