Abstract
- Researchers from Tufts Medical Center conducted a study on heart failure patients with preserved ejection fraction to determine the association between peak tricuspid regurgitation jet velocity (pTRV) and kidney outcomes. The study found that higher pTRV was linked to lower baseline estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and increased risk of eGFR decline and creatinine doubling. This research sheds light on the potential impact of pTRV on kidney function in patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. [Extracted from the article]
