Abstract

Researchers from Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities in China developed and validated a dynamic nomogram to predict short-term survival in patients with acute heart failure and acute kidney injury admitted to the ICU. The study analyzed data from 978 patients from 2008 to 2019 using the MIMIC-IV database. The nomogram incorporated factors like serum creatinine, race, age, and medication use to accurately predict patient outcomes. The research concluded that this nomogram could be a valuable tool for clinicians in predicting short-term prognosis for these patients. [Extracted from the article]
