Abstract
- Researchers at the University of Sao Paulo have successfully grown graphene sheets on surgical stainless steel cylinders using a direct APCVD process without the need for metal catalysts. The study focused on optimizing deposition temperature, time, and oxidation minimization for orthopedic implants, with plans to test the graphene-covered cylinders on rats. Financial support for the research came from various organizations, and the findings were published in Diamond and Related Materials. The study was peer-reviewed and utilized Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy for characterization. [Extracted from the article]
