Abstract
- Researchers from the University of Missouri conducted a study on community-engaged prison-based research during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on understanding prison culture and climate. The study utilized summative content analysis to gather data from 84 incarcerated individuals in a medium-security institution in the Midwest region of the United States. The results highlighted key themes in prison culture and climate, demonstrating the efficacy of this method for collecting high-quality data in prison settings. The research was supported by the Urban Institute and published in the Journal of Crime & Justice. [Extracted from the article]
