Abstract

A recent report from the University of Campania highlights the potential of combining curcumin and methotrexate for the treatment of osteosarcomas. The study suggests that curcumin, known for its antioxidant and anti-cancer properties, can downregulate components of the Hedgehog signaling pathway involved in tumorigenesis, inhibiting cancer progression. By targeting this pathway, curcumin and methotrexate showed promising pro-apoptotic effects, reducing the adverse effects of current therapies. This research offers new insights into potential therapeutic strategies for osteosarcoma treatment. [Extracted from the article]
