Abstract
- Researchers at the National Technological Institute of Mexico conducted a study on the oral toxicity of an acetone extract from Coffea arabica var. Oro Azteca leaves in CD-1 mice. The extract showed no significant toxicity, maintained body weight, and exhibited a hepatoprotective effect at a dose of 500 mg/kg. The research concluded that the extract, containing various compounds, is safe for consumption. This peer-reviewed study provides valuable insights into the potential health effects of coffee leaf extracts. [Extracted from the article]
