Abstract
- A study conducted at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Saudi Arabia focused on the incidence and risk factors of neutropenia in neonates with hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDN). The research found that neutropenia, characterized by low neutrophil counts, was more prevalent in male neonates with moderate-to-severe HDN, prematurity, and low birth weight. The study concluded that neutropenia in infants with HDN is generally a benign, self-limiting condition that can be managed conservatively. [Extracted from the article]
