Abstract
- A recent study conducted at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center focused on evaluating an intervention to decrease the length of stay in children with low-risk febrile neutropenia. The research aimed to identify a low-risk group of pediatric oncology patients who could be safely discharged early from the hospital. The study found that implementing guidelines for early discharge did not result in a reduction in hospital stay, highlighting the importance of understanding the optimal strategy for guideline implementation to improve the quality and efficiency of care for these patients.
