Abstract
- Recent studies from Menoufia University have explored the potential of serum bile acids as noninvasive biomarkers for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The research found that specific bile acids, such as CA, GCA, TCA, and TCDCA, were strong predictors of disease severity, indicating their potential as biomarkers for NAFLD treatment and prognosis. The study highlighted significant alterations in bile acid profiles associated with NAFLD progression, suggesting the importance of these biomarkers in diagnosing and predicting disease progression.
