Abstract
- The article discusses a newly launched clinical trial, NCT06635577, focusing on understanding cognitive processes related to quantitative and relational reasoning, particularly in mathematical contexts. The study aims to investigate how the introduction of a secondary task influences the behavior of children and adults when reasoning about proportions in various formats. Participants will be asked to make judgments about images with and without a distractor task. The trial is not yet recruiting, with enrollment targeted at typically developing individuals aged 8 to 64 years, and the primary completion date set for October 31, 2025.
