Abstract
- A recent study conducted at Fuwai Hospital explored the potential causal association between non-alcohol fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and coronary artery calcification (CAC) using genetic analysis. The study found no significant genetic association between NAFLD and CAC, suggesting that previous observational studies linking the two may be influenced by other factors. The research concluded that the association between NAFLD and CAC may be related to metabolic disorders rather than direct hepatic steatosis.
