Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at South China University of Technology focused on the effects of different extraction methods on the chemical composition and bioactivity of Chrysanthemum morifolium cv. Fubaiju extracts. The study found that various extraction methods resulted in differences in total phenolic content, protein, carbohydrate, and antioxidant properties of the extracts. Key small molecule components such as tuberonic acid glucoside were identified as having significant effects on the antioxidant and anti-glycosylation properties of the extracts. The research suggests that extracts of Chrysanthemum morifolium cv. Fubaiju could serve as effective antioxidants and anti-glycosylation agents. [Extracted from the article]
