Abstract
- The article explores the relationship between interoceptive processing, neural responses, and psychological reactions to food cues using fMRI technology. The study involved 45 healthy participants and found correlations between visceral interoception and brain regions such as the insula, motor cortex, and inferior frontal gyrus. The research suggests that altered interoceptive processing, motor planning, and inhibitory control may contribute to food craving and subsequent actions related to food consumption. The findings are based on a preprint and have not yet undergone peer review. [Extracted from the article]
