Abstract

A study conducted at Universitas Warmadewa in Bali evaluated drug prescriptions to foreign travelers in two travel clinics using WHO prescribing indicators. The research found instances of irrational prescribing, including polypharmacy, low use of generic names, non-compliance with the national formulary, high antibiotic and injection prescriptions. The study concluded that there is a phenomenon of irrational prescribing in these travel clinics, highlighting the need for improved practices in drug prescribing for foreign travelers in Bali.
