Abstract

A recent study conducted at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine found that cardiac inpatients are highly interested in engaging in virtual cardiac rehabilitation (CR) programs. The research, which surveyed English-speaking patients over the age of 18, revealed that the majority of patients, especially Black and Asian adults, expressed interest in virtual CR. The study highlighted the potential of digital health interventions to increase participation in CR and emphasized the importance of addressing safety concerns and enhancing motivation through direct communication with staff and other patients.
