Abstract
- A study conducted in Uganda evaluated the impact of two newer-generation long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) on malaria incidence. The research found a 23% reduction in malaria cases in the first 12 months after distribution, but this effect was not sustained in the following months. The study suggests the need for improved strategies to maintain the effectiveness of LLINs and adjusting distribution frequency based on local malaria transmission intensity.
