Abstract

Two major studies published in the journal NeuroOncology have revealed vital research findings pointing to improved treatment for children with Group 3 medulloblastoma brain tumors. Led by Professor Steve Clifford, the INSTINCT research program identified key genetic defects and effective targeted approaches to treating this type of cancer, which is responsible for a significant portion of childhood cancer deaths. The studies have provided critical evidence to guide diagnosis and treatment, offering hope for improved survival rates and quality of life for children with this aggressive form of brain cancer.
