Abstract

A study conducted at Guangdong Pharmaceutical University in Guangzhou, China, focused on the development of a nanodrug delivery system using dopamine-based functional molecules for efficient targeting of tumor cells. The research aimed to enhance the water solubility of chemotherapeutic drugs and improve their biodistribution through the use of drug-loaded nanoparticles that respond to pH changes in the tumor microenvironment. The nanoparticles achieved passive targeting and active targeting through folic acid on their surface, resulting in enhanced targeting efficiency on HepG2 cell lines. This work utilized three types of molecules to construct targeted nanoparticles that significantly improved the anti-tumor effect of the drug Cur through active and passive targeting mechanisms.
