Abstract
- Researchers at Annamalai University in Tamil Nadu, India, have developed a new nanohybrid delivery system using liposils to enhance the oral bioavailability of the drug ibrutinib. The study focused on utilizing silica-coated nanoliposomes as nanocarriers for the poorly water-soluble drug, resulting in improved stability and controlled release profiles. Pharmacokinetic studies in rats showed a significant increase in half-life and bioavailability of ibrutinib when delivered through liposils compared to suspensions, highlighting the potential of this approach in advancing drug delivery technologies and clinical outcomes in pharmaceutical research and development.
