Abstract

The article discusses the impact of total lesion glycolysis (TLG) in predicting the response of follicular lymphoma (FL) to rituximab. FL is a common type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma characterized by the (14;18) translocation. The study evaluates whether early rituximab monotherapy could delay chemotherapy in FL patients with low tumor burden. Results suggest that patients with FL should be evaluated using 18F-FDG PET scan and stratified based on TMTV and TLG thresholds to guide treatment decisions. [Extracted from the article]
