In this study, printing designs inspired by the motifs of the Saudi heritage have been developed based on the experimental and descriptive approaches. The investigation aims to study and analyses some of the elements and decorative units of the heritage found in the western region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to benefit from them in the development of decorative designs that have the aesthetic aspect and are compatible with the function of accessories and offering Saudi cultural heritage in a contemporary spirit, while enriching the aesthetic and functional aspects of innovative decorative designs. Heritage decorations for the western region of Saudi Arabia have been studied for the design of various costume supplements (scarves-belts-bags), and it has been concluded that all designs benefit from the aesthetic values of heritage decorations at a very high level and that all designs achieve the aesthetic and functional aspects at a very high level. One of the most important recommendations of the study is communication between local designers and manufacturers in Saudi Arabia to contribute to the promotion of creative industries and support for the local economy.
