Abstract

Norwegian authorities arrested Lucas Cho Ayaba, a German national and leader of the Ambazonia Governing Council, for inciting crimes against humanity in Cameroon. Ayaba is accused of perpetuating the conflict from Norway and could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted. The Anglophone Crisis in Cameroon began after protests in response to unfair treatment of English-speaking regions, leading to a separatist movement and guerrilla war against the government. The arrest marks the first time Norway has charged someone for inciting crimes against humanity, highlighting the country's active role in prosecuting international crimes.
