Abstract
- The article discusses research which demonstrated the first record of armored catfish Pterygoplichthys pardalis, a native belonging to the Loricariidae family, from the North Himalayan region on River Tawi in India. The study describes the morphometric and meristic characteristics of Pterygoplichthys pardalis, including snout, dorsal, pectoral, pelvic and anal spines, caudal peduncle, pectoral and pelvic base, and dorsal, pectoral, pelvic, anal and caudal fin rays.
