Abstract
- Nowadays, BLDC motors have become important motors for their many applications. Some of these applications require precise position and speed control, such as paper and textile mills, robots and CNC machines, etc. These and other applications require an accurate tracking trajectory of the movement. In this paper, design a cascade P-PI controller to control the position of the BLDC motor. This cascade controller consists of three controllers, one for current control, one for speed control, and the last for position control. In addition, the DC-link current can be used in block current control. Parameter values of these three controllers are calculated and extracted using the two new methods which are: SSO and GWO. The simulation result proves the power of the cascade P-PI controllers to reject disturbances, in addition, the results showed SSO Algorithm is better than the GWO algorithm. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
