Abstract
- A mild, metal‐free Giese‐type hydrodifluoroalkylation of electron‐deficient alkenes under visible‐light irradiation has been developed. This highly reducing photoactivated Hantzsch ester facilitates C(sp3)−CF2 bond formation through photoinduced electron transfer (PET) and hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) processes, providing an easy access to diverse gem‐difluorinated alkanes.
